Just getting settled in - October 14, 2009
Hey Boys and Girls,
Gail and I are finally getting settled in our new house and want to thank everyone who made it out for our "Houswarming" party this past weekend and also for the generous gifts. So many thanks go out for all that helped get it all started that day including Meff, Karen (Big Sis) Karen (Step Sis),Val, and of course "MOM".
Thanks to all of the musicians who came out to perform including Brint "Steel man" Hannay, Geff "Bass man" King, Karen "Short stuff" Chae, "Shady" Bob Grady, John "Cisco" Cusack, Mike "Wildcat Banjo man" Wilson. It was a great party and it felt so glad to share it with such great friends. We'll do it again soon when we finally get unpacked sometime around 2012. ;v) kidding.
Also need to apologize for the lack of our weekly mailing updates of upcoming gigs. I'm upgrading my mail system from Outlook Express which is no longer supported by Hotmail. Should be back on track soon. Anyway, Take care friends and much love,
Eddie

Hey friends and neighbors, Thanks you to all that came out Sunday and paid respects for our friend Abe. So many of his friends came out to show their love for a friend we miss dearly. We've become a family at Pistones and we look after one another and that's one of the reasons I personally love the place. Gail and I will always cherish our friends/family of our favorite Italian restaurant. Take care and we'll see you Wednesday and Friday
Thank you all for another memorable Birthday Weekend at Pistones - March 11, 2009
I can't that y'all enough for the great turnout, ballons, cards, teddybear, cake, presents and just plain "All Around" great time I had this past weekend. Y'all are like family to me and I look forward to the trip from West Virginia to see everyone every week.
Also, I wanted to let everyone know that once a month, I'll be playing a Saturday with Karen Chae on the piano and mix my blend of country in with her great music and have some special guest singers in with our Saturday Jam.
Keep and eye on my calendar as I've been posting up some new venues that might be closer to you and if you think of a place that you might want me to play that's close to you, drop me a line and i'll see if I can make it happen. Anyway, THANKS AGAIN, Eddie
Another Fun Weekend coming up - January 28, 2009
Howdy Snowmen and SnowBunnies,
Eddie Monster here with some fun news For this weekend. My friend John Dowdy called me up yesterday to invite to his 60th birthday on Saturday. Unfortunately I couldn't do it because I already had a gig Saturday evening. He then said the he'd come up Friday Night to Pistones. It seems fitting too because a mutual friend of ours Vern Santmeyer is filling in for Brint this week. I think he's bringing up some other (great)guest musicians as well but I'm not going to mention any names just yet. Totally looking forward to it.
Saturday, I'll be at "The Woods Resort" in Hedgesville, WV. You probably heard me mention that place about once a month or so. Gail and I found that place a couple of years ago and it is a great place to get away for the weekend. It's even nicer with the snow on the ground. If you haven't already made plans, check it out this weekend. The rooms are very reasonable and the crabcakes are the best anywhere (and I'm from Maryland) and of course yours truly will be entertaining Saturday night as well. I really hope you can make it out to one or both shows this weekend. Take care y'all
Eddie
Happy New Year and other stuff - January 15, 2009
Howdy Boys and Girls,
I don't know about you but I'm glad to see 2008 gone. But, instead of dwelling on the past, lets look forward to a better year coming. I started my new diet and hope to get back to my Fightn' weight. Gail (ball and chain) just started a new job as well.
Our Pistones gigs are going strong and last week was really fun even though I was nursing a sore throat. Also, as I wrote in my last e-mail, Ernie Buck and Geff King will be alternating Fridays on the bass with me as people love to see them both perform and each adds so much to the show that they should have equal time. My buddy Brint will still be there every week (taking his union breaks) as well. (ha-ha)
Anyway, I especially want to say "Thank you all" for supporting our humble little "3 hour a week" shows. You're all very generous in taking great care of us and we really do enjoy playing all night long. That is of course until "Billy" unplugs our power to get me to stop as he does most nights. I'm rambling now. Take care and keep warm
Eddie
Finally some songs on the Website - November 17, 2008
Hey Boys and Girls,
About a month ago, I was down at the Strasburg Theatre in Strasburg,VA for their Wednesday night open-jam and I asked them to record my solo set. After listening to the CD on the drive back, I couldn't believe the great sound quality from there. I'm hoping to get Brint and Geff to come down with me next time so I can get a great live recording of us together. Stay tuned and I'll post them in the "music" section as well.
As for now, I've put up four of my solo songs from that night and I hope you like them. There will be more to follow.
Next, I want to give a shout out to my friends and fellow musicians of the "Folsom Prisoners" country band. I was glad they asked me to fill in for a few shows. Thanks Rob,Jen,Ron and Pat. It was a pleasure to pick with yoos guys.
Finally, I want to thank you all again for supporting our Friday Night live music shows at Pistones. They're a big hit and I hope to keep them going strong though the New year and beyond. Take care and see you soon

Eddie's Birthday Bash - March 7, 2008
Well, it seems that Eddie will be one year older (and wiser) on March 8th, but since he's going to be out playing on Friday, March 7th (at Pistone's Italian Inn, Falls Church), I thought it might be fun to surprise him with a birthday cake and some friends/well wishers. So, if any of you can make it by this evening - please stop by and wish Eddie an early Happy Birthday wish. We plan to have one of those great white/chocolate mousse cakes available for those of you who do stop by - while supplies last, of course.
Special guests to close out February - February 20, 2008
Hey Boys and Girls,
Eddie Here. These Pistones shows have really taken off and I've had some great musicians sit in with me recently such as Brint Hannay, Mike Wilson, Larry Tapper, T.M. Hanna to name a few and for the next two weeks I'll be having some more heros and friends sit in for the night such as Ernie Buck, Geff King and the Great Vernon Santmeyer. These are shows that you'll be telling your friends about and slapping yourself if ya miss them. SO DON'T MISS THEM. Anyway, That's about if for this update but just a BIG Thank You for all of you that have been coming out and telling your friends about our shows and supporting our local musicians. I just really love to play for you all. Whether it's "Southern Cross" for Metro Joe or "There stands the glass" for Maria Monster or "Jack to a King" for Cathy or "He stopped loving her today" for Pat -a- Lou or any song that will get Patty (Gails sister) up to dance or even a good song by Faron Young for Mike. Take care and see ya out soon
Eddie
So Long 2007 - December 28, 2007
Well, it was an interesting year as I'm sure you all will agree. Eddie & I are doing fine but looking forward to the prospect of lower gas prices, interest rates and presidential candidates. I thought I would take this opportunity to invite all of you out to Martinsburg for New Year's Eve - if you don't already have plans. Eddie will be playing at The Woods Resort Saturday, December 29th for those of you who are intimidated by the thought of DWI (aren't we all?) We usually plan to stay the night there when he plays because his better half loves the massages the morning after - AND the prices are inexpensive considering the great food and all of the amenities. (Check out the link to The Woods Resort for more info). If anyone is interested in venturing out to The Olde Hangar for New Year's Eve - there are plenty of inexpensive motels nearby - Comfort Suites on Charles Town Road in Kearneysville or even lower priced - The Relax Inn, right here on Winchester Ave. in Martinsburg are all less than 5 miles from The Olde Hangar. You might even be able to get a room at The Relax Inn for less than $60. The Olde Hangar has great food and NO COVER CHARGE. Best of all, no reservations required and, for those of you who enjoy the slots - they have a few of the nickel slots there, for your gambling pleasure. Best of all, you can venture over to Berkeley Springs on New Year's Day (30 minutes west of Martinsburg), or stop in at Charles Town Races & Slots (15 minutes east on Route 9). So, that's all for now. Eddie & I wish everyone a great 2008!
Update on Oklahoma City - October 27, 2007
Just in case anyone was wondering about the trip to Oklahoma City, Eddie & I have two (make that three or four) comments about our trip. First, Oklahahoma City is not a very happening city. If we had been there for a week, we would have been bored to tears (and we're not that exciting). Second, (this is a positive), you can actually get over the fact that it's boring because people are unbelievably friendly there. It's clean, nice, wholesome and a place where complete strangers say hello, wave and overall have no fear of people they don't know. Now here's another great thing about Oklahoma City - everyone we ran into LOVES country music! Well, we were really excited (I was excited) about going to Toby Keith's (I Love this Bar) restaurant and club - where he had live country music. That was a big disappointment. Unfortunately, we were built up because everyone there talked about this great place (and how we might not get a seat because it was so popular, etc), but it was a real bust. We got there real early (so we could get a seat), waited impatiently for this great live music (I'm a big fan of Toby Keith), and what a disappointment. The band they booked was worse than bad. Neither of us could even understand what they guy was singing but it sure wasn't country. Maybe I'm a little biased, but if Eddie had been singing, I think the crowd would have been real happy...Anyway, I'm sure we'll never get back to that place and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone travelling there. Obviously Toby Keith doesn't select the musicians. The biggest event of the trip was, of course, seeing Kevin make Navy Chief. That was a memorable event and made us both proud...By the way, Eddie did finally notice the change I made to his website.
Updating October and Special show - October 6, 2007
Hey Boys and Girls,
I just read what Gail (the other half) wrote in the last entry. That's what happens when they get off the leash (ha-ha just kidding) I'm updating the site today with rest of my dates for October.
Next week will be a special night at Pistones (October 12th) I'll have a bunch of family there for my Mom's Birthday. Should be a great show and some special musicians will be popping by as well so try not to miss this one.
Oh and Joe, I promised that I'll have learned a Frank Sinatra song for you. Should be interesting....
Y'all take care and be good
Eddie
Pistone's Tonight - Then Oklahoma... - September 14, 2007
Hello Everyone:
Eddie hasn't sent out his Emails in a few weeks so all of you who have been logging in to THIS site (which Gail updates from time to time) will get the real scoop - Eddie IS playing at Pistone's tonight (Friday, September 14th).
Eddie hasn't felt that it was necessary to send out a weekly Email since most of his fans KNOW he's at Pistone's on Friday's - EXCEPT when he's NOT!! THAT will happen NEXT Friday, September 21st, because Eddie & I will be in Oklahoma City. (I changed his website temporarily to reflect "a heading west" theme - let's see how long it takes Eddie to notice the change...)
Kevin Harrison (Gail's/my son) is being promoted to Navy Chief, so we're flying out for the big ceremony.
(For all you mother's of intelligent, attractive daughters I will add that after his "Chief Training" in Oklahoma, Kevin will come back home for a visit and you can all congratulate him first hand - and, yes he's a very tall, good looking Chief, too...
Anyway, Eddie & I will also try to catch some good old country music while we're in Oklahoma - we understand that Toby Keith has a place there, so we plan to make a stop there (where hopefully, Eddie will learn one of Gail's favorite songs by Toby Keith, "A Little Too Late...") or something like that.
If you read this Email and happen to be in Pistone's, PLEASE request a song by Toby Keith....but don't say where you heard that from. By the way, Eddie told Joe Pistone he will learn some Frank Sinatra (with a country slant, of course), and we're all looking forward to hearing how that's going to turn out...
Hope all of you are well and we look forward to seeing you tonight!
Love to all,
Gail Harrison (Pockey)
Joe's Birthday Photos - June 16, 2007
Joe's birthday was a lot of fun for everyone who made it out to Pistone's. There were a lot of fans present - Joe's and Eddie's. Check out some of the pictures under the "Photos" section of the website!
